You see what
we see.

We've repaired European, foreign, and domestic cars for greater Snohomish County since 1994. Mercedes-Benz and BMW are our deepest specialty, and older cars never stopped being welcome here. When you ask whether a repair is really needed, we show you what we found, in plain language, before you decide anything.

“…never 'selling' you services but helping you learn through the digital vehicle health process that starts with a Digital Inspection.”Our pledge, as an AutoTechIQ-certified shop

We photograph what we find.

Diagnosis is detective work, and we keep the evidence. Both photographs below are ours, from our own bay, with our shop notes still on them.

Our two shop photos of a BMW fuel pump with strange residue, and a graduated cylinder where the fuel sample has separated over water — our original notes still on the images

Water in the fuel

A BMW came in as a no-start with fuel pressure far below specification. A tired pump is the easy answer. The honest one is in the graduated cylinder: the sample separated, and more than half of it was water. When the cause is that clear, the estimate is too.

From our bay · our shop notes, as posted
An electric cooling fan on our bench, its hub melted from overheating, with our note about the 40-amp fuse that should have been a 20

The fan that melted

This Honda cooling fan overheated at the hub, which a fuse should have prevented. Our technician found out why: the factory calls for a 20-amp fuse, and somebody had fitted a 40. So the fan cooked instead of the fuse. Finding that wrong part is the difference between replacing a fan once and replacing it twice.

On our DemandForce customer portal, 98.9% of 332 reviewers said they would refer us. We think the photographs have something to do with that.

“We have a few gray hairs, and lots of knowledge and experience on older cars.” That sentence has been on our website for years, and the board below is why it stays. We are MBCA and Seattle Section members, and we have hosted many technical seminars for Mercedes owners right here at the shop.

We hold 4.7 stars on Google. The Google reviews below are from our current listing; the others were collected on our DemandForce verified-customer portal over the years, so they are not new. Everyone is quoted word for word, typing and all, and where a review is shortened the ellipsis is shown.

Excellent experience! I had a persistent differential whining noise in my 2017 Mercedes-Benz G63… even the Mercedes dealer told me it could be “multiple things” without offering a clear answer. These guys were different — they had the right diagnostic tools and were able to accurately identify the source of the noise within just a few hours… Highly recommended if you’re looking for real answers.

I brought my first Corvette to Eric and the crew @ GP for over 5 years. They took immaculate care of it and made life easy for me. I'll be doing the same thing with the next Corvette. A "little red Corvette" convertible. They will do everything from normal maintenance to fixing the hard stuff. And, they will do it professionally, politely and proudly. Thanks Eric...keep doing what you do and doing it better than anyone else.

Mike Clemans · 5-star Google review

Excellent customer service and my repairs were done promptly and within budget. Kept us in the loop with every stage. We would recommend them highly.

eileen mcculloch · 5-star Google review

…Their estimate was dead on and in fact a bit less because one of the items ended up not needing to be done after all. Talk about an honest shop! GP is not the cheapest shop in town - if you want cheap, go somewhere else. But they are also not the most expensive and provide excellent value given the quality of work and service. They have my highest recommendation.

Brennon has always been an exceptional front end guy at GP..he is kind, well informed and in fact, spent far more time pricing our extensive laundry list of repairs than most people would. The work done on my 1981 240D Benz keeps it going and Brennon makes bringing it in a very positive experience.

Before bringing my 1999 Corvette coupe to a shop for inspection and maintenance, I did a lot of research. I'm not sorry I picked GP Automotive. Eric, Brennen and the staff are friendly, professional, knowledgeable and extremely good at what they do…

Mercedes, BMW, and everything foreign or domestic.

We service and repair foreign and domestic cars: general repair and maintenance alongside the European specialty work. On Mercedes, our knowledge runs from the '60s to the present.

To the best of our knowledge, we are the only independent shop in Everett, WA and surrounding area that has the genuine Mercedes-Benz factory diagnostic platform and the Mercedes Workshop Information System. We take Mercedes training every year.

For BMW, on many models we can download performance upgrades over and above the factory settings.

Courtesy shuttle — call ahead for availability.

We keep your service history on file, and when a service contract or aftermarket warranty is involved, we handle the paperwork and make the phone calls.

The paper we sign ourselves.

Most new parts and labor carry our own warranty: 2 years or 24,000 miles, with reasonable towing covered. Some engines and transmissions are covered for three to five years, and used parts for 90 days.
